It comes with a living room/ kitchen area, shower room/ toilet, private covered hot tub & a fire pit (on request), Situated within the stunning Scottish highland countryside, close to the local village of Tomatin, just south of Inverness. Birch Lodge is surrounded by fields & less than 2 minutes walk from the River Findhorn, so a perfect spot for a quiet getaway, exploring the countryside!

Things to note!

Please feel free to explore surrounding countryside, we are 2 minutes walk from the river Findhorn, but please take care particularly in fields with cattle in them, stay well clear of them. Please do not light any fires in the woods and if with children there are some roots in the woods that can potentially be trip hazards!

Fire pit - to only be used in non windy conditions. (Firewood can be ordered in advance from Tomatin Firewood. Would recommend fire starters, standard bag of kindling and net bags of kiln dried firewood. Fire pit must be at least 10ft from the property at all times and extinguished if left unattended.)

Smart TVs have iPlayer and itv on them but plenty of other apps like now tv, Disney, Amazon, Netflix available etc. So please remember to bring user name and password and to log out before leaving!

Please note that as it is quite a small kitchen area without an extractor fan, that we kindly ask that guests do not cook strong smelling foods such as curry, that will leave lingering smells that are difficult to remove, particularly on checkout day so that new guests can also enjoy their stay.

Please note that on a daily basis we will test the hot tub water and add treatment. A member of staff will do this during the day, normally in the morning and the testing and treatment is normally completed within 10 minutes. Upon arrival if there has been a changeover earlier that day, please note that the hot tub may still be heating up to temperature, so may need another couple of hours or so after 4pm to be fully up to temperature. For every new set of guests we have to change the water over and then reheat and treat the water. So on the checkout day a member of staff may begin this process at around 10am, but no cleaning in the pod lodge will happen until after checkout time.
